my initial reaction was one of concern just because of how well Kuemper has played for us. but once I heard the explanation that Blake never was considering Kuemper remaining with the Kings beyond this year and the plan has always been to switch to both Jack Campbell and the eventual expected stud Cal Petersen as backups I find myself liking this trade significantly more. Rieder is a great depth forward and considering his age he's still got real potential to improve even more on a team that isn't languishing at the bottom of the standings year after year like he had in Arizona. kings have to find a way to both stay afloat and eventually thrive in a league that's slowly transforming into a younger and faster one and this trade helps big time with both of those aspects. Also, Tobias is an awesome freakin' name... just sayin' |

Wedgie will do you guys no harm, I actually wouldn't be surprised if his numbers jumped big time, even if he only see's a few games down the stretch. Playing behind the Yotes and playing behind the Kings are two completely different animals. |

I'm excited for Peterson but having been to enough Reign's games this year I'm not as confident with Campbell. He's only 2 years younger than Kuemper and has struggled this year. I guess the only difference between those two is the amount Kuemper can fetch on the open market after this year's performance. I guess my just more hesitant on this trade because of the dumb move last year to get Bishop and end up doing worse than with Bujas. |

Kuemper's trade value was never going to be higher than it is right now, so I like the move. If Toby can produce or at least keep the bottom 6 going as they've been the last few games, then I'm happy. It'll be interesting to see what happens when Carts and Lewis are back in the fold. Amadio and Brodz go down? I like the way the stretch is setting up, but it all comes down to JQ now. If he's himself we're gold, if he's softy the goalman, then it's going to be nervous time. |

I absolutely hate this trade. Bottom line we needed this guy to get in the playoffs THIS year. He would have played around 5 more games this year and every goals against could mean the difference between a lottery pick in the draft or a seat at the playoff table. This is going to come back and bite the kings in the ass in this years super tight playoff race. |

Completely different team from the other night. Kings looked like the team that was on a back to back. |

Amazing first period, then they mailed it in. This surplus of forwards is killing chemistry if there is any to be had to begin with in the bottom 6 |
